SCIBS

Founded in 1997, SCIBS is a regional association that supports International Baccalaureate (IB) schools in South Carolina.  The purpose of SCIBS is to improve education for students enrolled in the IB Primary Years Programs (PYP), Middle Years Programs (MYP), and Diploma Programs (DP). SCIBS accomplishes this goal in a variety of ways.  Teachers, coordinators, administrators, and support staff may attend a variety of forums in any given year. Some of these forums are applicable to all three programs while others may be program specific. SCIBS also serves as a vehicle of communication for IB schools. In addition, SCIBS works closely with the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education to foster recognition and understanding of IB programs.
